Making goals is easier said than done and actually completing your goals is even more difficult. For me personally, I need to have a reason for making each goal and why I want to achieve them. Goals are so important in life and they motivate people to go further in life.
So why is it so important to make goals?
Making goals is important because it helps motivate you to succeed and to go further in your life, not only as a person but in your career and with getting those things on your bucket list done!
How do you make a goal and actually achieve it?
Anyone can make a goal. I have a goal to lose weight. There that’s a goal, but to actually achieve my goal I have to make a plan of action. A plan of action is my plan on what I’m going to do to actually achieve my goal. If I have a goal, but I do not know how I’m going to get what I want done, then it will never actually happen. So, for example, I want to lose weight, so I need to be eating healthier and exercising more. I need to have a plan of how much weight I want to lose each week and when I want to achieve my targeted weight by. This is an example of a goal with a plan of action.
Some Tips For Achieving Your Goals
- Tell people about it! When you tell people, they hold you accountable and will ask you how you’re doing with achieving your goals.
- Write them down! Below is a FREE printable that will help with keeping you on track. Write down your goals and your plan of actions.
- Reward yourself! For every milestone, remind yourself of how good you’re doing and that one day you will get to the finish line! For example, for every 10lbs I lose, I get to buy a new book.
- Stay motivated! This is so much easier said than done, but if you need inspiration or motivation there are a few things you can do, talk to family and friends-they’ll give you some motivation, reflect on why you started doing it in the first place and why you created your goal, keep reading my blog for more inspiration and check out my Pinterest page (because Pinterest always motivates me!).
